Google Cuts Hundreds of Jobs in Assistant, Devices and Services Teams; Fitbit Co-Founders to Depart Google

Google on Wednesday announced that it was laying off hundreds of employees across its Google Assistant team while a similar number of users were laid off from its Devices and Services team, according to the company. The majority of the layoffs from the latter will comprise its 1P augmented reality (AR) teams, according to the search giant.
