Google Messages End-to-End Encryption for Group Chats Rolled Out to Open Beta Testers, Company Says
Google has completed the rollout of its end-to-end encryption for group chats on its Messages app to beta testers within a month. The rollout of the feature was announced for Messages users enrolled in the open beta program in December. Google first announced plans to introduce E2EE for its group chats at its I/O event in 2022.
