Internet Shutdowns Dangerous for Democracies, Should Be Stopped Immediately, Says UN
Internet shutdowns can be dangerous for democracies with dire consequences, warned UN in a recent briefing. UN rights chief Michelle Bachelet pointed out in a statement that such shutdowns can hamper the realisation of many human rights.
