Two Years, 600 Arrests: Malaysia Rounds Up Crypto Miners Stealing Power for Illegal Operations

Malaysian authorities nabbed over 600 crypto miners who were stealing electricity to generate cryptocurrencies on advanced computers. In the last two years, the Malaysian police has seized crypto mining equipment worth MYR 69.8 million (roughly Rs. 125 crore). The country aims to reduce its power problems by cracking down and shutting illegal crypto mining operations.
