TRAI Wants Free USSD Messages for All Users to Encourage Digital Payments
TRAI is seeking to make Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) messages free for all mobile customers in the country, seeking to bring the charges down from 50 paise down to zero. The regulatory authority stated that the intent of making USSD messages free was to encourage digital payments in the country.
